Memories from Nam

Well, now after leaving Nam I can raise memories like "Walter Sobchak" (John Goodman) in "Big Lebowski" - "When I was in Nam..." or "if there's one thing I learned in Nam...".
Anyway, if you do ask me what did I do in Nam, well, beside wrecking motorbikes one after another, not much. the amount of broken bikes as for now is stand on three. and for the details, so the first crash was at the beginning of the tour when we were a large group of 6 lads, the crash itself hasn't done by me only by a lassie named Rotem who wanted to checkout if she can ride it, so we let her try on an isolated road, well, just try to imagine shaking motorbike runs into a parking truck, it was quite hilarious. the second crush was the welding story which I told you already and the third bike to be wreck goes like this, Lee (the blond lassie from Vietnam album) and I rent a bike at Sa-Pa (which is at north west Vietnam) and we had a flat 8 Km from town and we had to walk all the way back and just before we reached town I lost my balance a fell on the motorbike, the motorbike fell on the sidewalk, well, though of the cracking sound of breaking plastic and broken mirror is was very hilarious me falling without any reasonable reason.

So today I've reached Laos where I intend to spend the following month, the Internet here is a little bit not accessible like in the neighbor countries so there could be a low tide in my e-mails but this is not a good reason not to write me.

Welding or Soldering?

Hello my devoted readers let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time (every story has to start that way although it was only few days ago) my mates and I rented motorbikes (you can see it in the photos album attached to the last post) and with a great talent I bumped into a pit (most of the roads here are constructed out of potholes and pits and a little bit of road) and broke my bike's kickstands. well, the incident itself wasn't so serious cause how much it's going to cost, but after a short look you could see that the kickstand has already been weld before. well, English is non of us major language and non of us didn't had a clue about how you say welding in English, and after second thought we knew that even if we did know how to say it, the Vietnamese who has really poor English if at all have any English wouldn't have a clue themselves about what the hell are we talking about.
So how do you say "welding" in Vietnamese? well my friends, the answer is very simple, welding in Vietnamese is "VISH VISH" or let me put it in a sentence "you, VISH VISH, before!, I, no money"
Well, I know you want a happy ending for the story so let me just say that eventually I paid much less than he wanted (he wanted around 3$ and eventually agreed to take only 1$).

Roaming Nam

I know, it's been quite long time since my last post, I wrote around couple weeks ago, well, what can I say? though my journey has return to be quite hectic at the past few weeks still nothing extreme has happened.
So what can I tell you about the past two weeks? well, Vietnam is very beautiful, the sceneries here are absolutely amazing BUT and here comes the but, the Vietnamese are the most annoying, irritating, nerve-racking, impertinent, cheeky people I could ever find along my tour. you can't spend a minute without somebody bothering you by trying push you something (always the same thing as well), you can't walk along the street without been pushed to rent a bike/motorbike with or without a driver, or a cycling rickshaw haunting you till other rickshaw will switch with it, the idea of you walking by you own using your own feet seems to the Vietnamese as a conspiracy against them and they rejecting it from bottom.
Anyway, don't get me wrong I'm still having great time here, and for some of you question 'bout my returning home (Mom!) I can only say it's ain't gonna be on the nearest future, but till then I upload photos so you can enter and watch on your free time.

More like it

Well, that's the way I like you better! you just need a little shake once in a while and then I can be sure my Inbox is back to be full. now I have hours of work to reply you all (can't complain for that).

Anyway, some of you did not completely understand my last story, I didN'T had any accident! the story was about bumper cars which was going too fast to be a bumper cars. that's all!

Also, one of the replies I've got, reminded me that Forrest Gump also has started his successful career here in Vietnam.
so remember, stupid is stupid does.

Good morning Vietnam

Hello everyone, how are you doing these days? busy? or just tired? well, I'm asking cause tonight I entered the Internet, same as I do every night Pinky, and not a bloody single letter in my Inbox! where are you people? I know it's quite hard to write but I really need those e-mails to come, specially after the car accident I had today, well before I start telling you all about lemme say I am OK, only a small scratch.

So as you could understand from the subject (and probably did) I finally reached Vietnam, did you know that Rambo started his career here? well, now you do.
Anyway, as I said before my mates and I got today to Ho Chi Minh City (which known more as the Capital Saigon) and after finding a place to stay we went exploring the city, SUDDENLY! out of the bloom we saw this bumper cars facility, well, the fact that the cars looked like bumper cars does not necessarily makes it such, we realized that only after the first frontal bump which was quite painful. as I said before, only small scratch but a big band aid so it would look nasty.

So tomorrow morning I'm going to search for small vietcongs out in the bush and tomorrow night, well,
What're we gonna do tomorrow night Brain?
The same thing we do every night Pinky. Try to take over the world.

P.S.
Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering? Pinky: Uh, I think so, Brain, NARF, but we'll never get a monkey to use dental floss!
